- The Sleep Medicine Home Page - This is the
most complete compilation of sleep information on the web. Check this page for a wide
variety of sleep related information.
- The UCLA Sleep Home Page - A wealth of
information about clinical treatment, research, funding, and placements for sleep
disorders. Adobe Acrobat is needed to read the articles.
- National Sleep Foundation - Their goal is
to increase public awareness about health problems related to sleep disorders. Programs
such as The Drive Alert...Arrive Alive campaign and other information about the
effects of sleep deprivation on this page.
- Phantom Sleep Page - This site is mostly
about sleep apnea and snoring but does have significant other sleep information. Details
on sleep apnea publications by Jerry Halberstadt (who has sleep apnea and maintains this
site) and others. Order his handbook for patients Phantom of the Night: Overcome Sleep
Apnea and Snoring here.
- Kerrin Leon White, M.D., a
physician with severe sleep apnea, has an excellent web site with many references and
articles on obstructive sleep apnea.
- Cure Narcolepsy Now - Part of the
National Sleep Foundation. Information about research funding and the researchers
involved in narcolepsy.
- Cyberspace RLS
(Restless Leg Syndrome) Support Group - Discussion list for RLS/PLMD
sufferers. Topics include treatments,
medications, alternative therapies and most of all....support from over 950
other RLS sufferers from all over the world. This support group has been very
effective for people that do not have a local RLS Support group in their
areas. It is now moderated by Donna McLellan.

This is a newer support group that is moderated and run by Donna
McLellan. It is quite active and has many members from the RLS Foundation's
website as regular visitors.

RLS_PLMD at
yahoogroups is an e-mail list support group for people with very active or
severe restless legs syndrome and/or periodic limb movement disorder.
RLS_PLMD at yahoogroups has been set up specifically for people that have
found no benefit from herbs, supplements, over-the-counter remedies or
do-it-yourself home treatments and would rather not deal with lots of e-mails
pertaining to their use. These topics are off-topic for this group. This
group is not as busy as most
groups.

- This is a new site that is developing an English version in addition to their basic
Dutch version.
- Talk About Sleep - This is a new site
devoted to all aspects of sleep including RLS and PLMD. Has lots of information and chat
groups.
- Ekbom Support Group - The Ekbom
Support Group was formed in the United Kingdom in 1988 by Mrs. Eileen
Gill and now has members in many parts of the world. There is a lot of information on RLS including a forum that you can join.
- The Sarasota/Manatee RLS Support Group - This is a
new site put together by this long standing support group.
- The Granite State RLS Support Group -
This is the site of the New Hampshire support group in Bow run by Fran
Blakeney.

Frank Lewis web based page for research into RLS - This site is done
personally by Frank Lewis as an effort to use a web based survey to determine
the cause of RLS. He has a theory about RLS being muscle based and would
like to use this survey to help support this hypothesis. This survey is
not sponsored by any scientific or other organization. He is doing this
study on his own and has independently thought up his idea of what causes RLS
and how to use this web page survey to support his hypothesis.
- The We Move site has very
good information for both physicians and patients.
- Bandolier site - This is a new
British site that reviews studies done on various treatments for RLS.

RemedyFind is a free, unbiased site (not sponsored by drug companies etc.)
where individuals can rate the effectiveness of the Restless Legs Syndrome
treatments they have tried.
